Sewing at Amanda B offers a range of services to work with the communities around us. A shop selling material and sewing supplies, mending, classes, assistance for your projects and patterns for you to cut from.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Some History And The Present<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

My passion for sewing began at an early age in a little country town called Jennings. Hours spent in the sunroom with Nanna, in the lounge room with mum or at the dining table with Nan, produced amazing memories and skills that are still used almost daily. Hand sewing doll clothes, doing hems and cross stitch doilies occupied much of my time for many years. I am so thankful for the years I have been making clothes, covers for chairs, doing mending and alterations and countless craft activities.Today my love for sewing has come full circle to Jennings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sewing and mending for the local communities, One on one coaching sessions, Classes for groups of up to 8 people from beginners to advanced, Lessons for school age students, both primary and high school, helping with projects that you are having trouble with where I can, and charging a small fee for those that find a pattern they would like to use among the many I have. During classes, courses or coaching you will be making practical useful products that you want to make.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You don\u2019t need to bring anything more than enthusiasm, an open mind and ability to interact and learn. You can purchase fabric from me for your project or you can purchase elsewhere and bring it with you. Sewing machines, overlockers, thread, scissors and all the little bits and bobs used in sewing are provided. When you want to bring your own sewing machine so you can practice using it, please do, just let me know in advance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
